Shabbat Chai with Bashert – MLK Tribute, Guest Speaker Mark Ayers

While Shabbat Chai with Bashert is always a joyful and spiritually meaningful time or all, this Shabbat Chai should be even more so as we come together as one holy community to celebrate MLK weekend and the important legacy that he left our nation.

In addition to Bashert’s playing several well known songs from the civil rights movement, we are very fortunate to have Mark Ayers as our guest speaker.

Mark, who is a successful and accomplished mathematician, is a 1969 graduate of Andover High School, where he participated in the A Better Chance Program (ABC Andover) , a non-profit organization providing meritorious young people of color with academic and leadership opportunities.

Mark will be sharing with us his experience in the program and the powerful impact the program and Rev. King’s legacy has had on his life.

We hope that you’ll be able to join us, via Zoom, for what should be a very special service and evening.
